Our TAG Pre-Grading Service is designed to help collectors avoid unnecessary grading costs by identifying the cards most likely to meet your target grade before submission.
Whether you're chasing pristine 10s, maximizing resale value, or protecting your collection long-term, we help you make informed grading decisions before your cards ever leave the forge.
We carefully inspect your cards for:
Surface wear
Centering
Edge whitening
Corner damage
Print defects
Scratches and Holo imperfections
Dents, dimples, and pressure marks
$5 per card
During submission, you tell us your minimum acceptable grade.
You submit:
10 cards
Minimum required grade: TAG 10
After evaluation:
8 cards are projected to meet your minimum grade
2 cards do not pass
Only the 8 qualifying cards move forward to invoicing and grading submission.
Before invoicing and before submission to TAG, customers have the opportunity to approve optional enhancement and repair services.
These services are completely optional and are offered only after pre-grading so you can decide whether additional work is worthwhile.
Minor surface polishing and improvement for holo scratching and light surface wear.
$20 per card
Treatment focused on minimizing dents, dimples, and pressure marks that may impact grade potential.
$55 per card
Comprehensive restoration package including surface work, dent treatment, cleaning, and presentation optimization.
$110 per card
Once:
Pre-grading is complete
Optional repair services are approved or declined
We invoice only the cards that passed your required grade threshold.
$25 per qualifying card
Payment must be received before cards are submitted to TAG for grading.
